  • Beginning Orientation & Mobility Training
    Monthly on 2nd & 4th Wednesday
    Beginning Wednesday, February 12th and 26th | 10:30 am to 12:30 pm | LBB

    Orientation is an individual's ability to know where you are in a given space. Mobility is navigating between two places safely, efficiently, and as independently as possible. You will learn white cane techniques as well as human guide instructions. In addition, you will learn how to utilize public transportation.

    In person instruction is available on all computers and assistive technology devices including iPad, iPhone, Android, Braille Displays, Windows PC, Alexa, Chromebook, Mac, FUSION, JAWS, Notetakers, NVDA, OrCam, Windows Magnifier, Windows Narrator, Windows PC, ZoomText Magnifier, and ZoomText Magnifier \ Reader. We also provide practice on Windows PC and typing accuracy skills.

  • Community Groups – Monthly Vision Loss Support Group
    Groups are for seniors who are visually impaired and their family and friends. You are welcome to join a group if you or a loved one are experiencing vision loss. Individuals attending are in all stages of vision loss. 


    • Westminster Oaks – 2nd Wednesday of the month 
      LBB Monthly Vision Loss Support Group

      Mark your calendar for the 2nd Wednesday of the month to join LBB’s Vision Loss Support Group for individuals who are visually impaired. You are welcome to join the group if you are experiencing vision loss or have a loved one or friend experiencing vision loss. Individuals attending are in all stages of vision loss.
      Open to the public.

    • Westminster Oaks - Assistive Technology Training
      1st and 3rd Thursday of every month | 10 am to 11:30 am | LBB
      Thursday, February 6th and 20th

      Transportation to LBB provided by Westminster Oaks.

      This training will teach how technology (cell phones, tablets, pads, and/or laptops) can provide more independence to individuals with vision loss. Please bring the device you would like to learn more about.
